2025: Batenhorst made her pro beach volleyball debut in Newport Beach in an international event. Playing with Sara Hughes the duo went 1-2 in pool play and placed 13th.
Professional Indoors: Batenhorst was drafted 15th overall in the 2024 Major League Volleyball draft by the Omaha Supernovas. She was third on the team in kills per set (2.91) in 2025 as her team finished with a league best 21-7 match record.
College: Batenhorst played three seasons indoors at Nebraska. Her team was the national runner-up in both her freshman and junior seasons. Batenhorst also competed two seasons in beach volleyball. As a freshman she went 9-11 alongside Keonilei Akana and then as a sophomore she and Bergen Reilly had a 15-5 record, tallying the most wins in a single season in program history. Following graduation from Nebraska, she transferred to Southern Cal to compete one season indoors. Batenhorst was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and ended her indoor career with 1,319 kills.
Personal: Batenhorst's father, Kurt, played basketball and ran track at Nebraska Wesleyan. Her older sister Danielle was an outside hitter at Gonzaga while her younger sister Casey was a setter at SMU. In high school Batenhorst was chosen as the PrepVolleyball.com National Freshman of the Year and led her team to a state championship as a senior. She was ranked as the number three overall prospect by PrepVolleyball.com. In the 2020-21 season she was named as the Gatorade National Player of the Year.
