Indoor Volleyball: Aldrich played on the USA National Team from 2001 to 2003, leading the team to a bronze medal in the 2003 Pan American Games. The following two seasons she played professionally in Italy, then rejoined the USA National Team in 2006. In 2007-08 she played professionally in Japan until suffering a knee injury.

College: Aldrich began at Arizona, where she was offered a scholarship in both volleyball and track & field (high jump). After her freshman season, her high jump coach went to the University of Texas, and Aldrich transferred. In track she won four NCAA National Championships, seven All-America honors, and set a collegiate high jump record of 1.97m. In volleyball Aldrich was a first-team All-America as a senior and led the nation in triple-doubles. She was chosen the Big XII Athlete of the Year in 2000.

Personal: Her brother, Steve, played tennis at Trinity University, and her grandfather, Charles "Ki" Aldrich, was the NFL's 1939 number one draft pick. She was a four-time member of the USA World Championship Team in high jump, and competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the high jump.
