College: Zevenbergen began her collegiate career playing both indoor and beach volleyball at Santa Barbara City College.  In two seasons she had 115 kills, 64 digs, 61 blocks and 11 aces indoors and was named second team all-conference.  As a freshman she helped her team to its first ever state championship berth while playing on court five alongside Gabby Russell and was first team all-conference as a sophomore while playing on court two with Nevaeh Tillet.  She then transferred to Cal State Northridge but did not play.

Personal: Zevenbergen's given name is Alexis, but she goes by Birdie.
