• In the first five titles won by Reckermann and Brink, the opponent was from Brazil each time.
• Reckermann's second FIVB Gold Medal came in the first event following the 2004 Athens Olympics. In the semifinals he and Markus Dieckmann defeated the Olympic Gold medalists Emanuel Rego and Ricardo Santos in their home country, and in the title match defeated the Olympic Bronze medalists Patrick Heuscher and Stefan Kobel.

2012: Reckermann and Brink advanced to two semifinals in five events, winning their only medal in the London Olympics as they won the Gold. They ended the season as the 25th-ranked team on the tour, behind three other teams from Germany. They won their only CEV event, the European Championship Final.
2011: Reckermann and Brink won seven medals in 10 FIVB events, with a best of second three times. In the World Championships in Rome the duo won the Bronze Medal. They ended the season as the third-ranked team on the tour. They won their only CEV event, the European Championship Final.

Their second title together came in the World Championships in Stavanger, and was followed up with a pair of Grand Slam Gold Medals. During that span they set the FIVB Tour record for most consecutive match victories with 25. Reckermann and Brink won the tour's points championships, becoming just the second European team to accomplish that feat. On the CEV Tour they won one event and three additional medals before placing fourth in the European Championship Final.
2008: Reckermann and Urbatzka advanced to four semifinals, including their last three events. They placed second twice, and ended the year as the fourth-ranked team on the tour in terms of points. The duo played in two CEV events, and finished ninth in the CEV European Championship in Germany.
2007: Reckermann and Urbatzka played in 13 events, and had a best of seventh through their first 10 tournaments. The duo placed 17th in the World Championships in Gstaad, then ended the season with a fifth followed by a pair of second-place finishes.
