Crabb-Brunner survive China-Brazil travels, advance into Brasilia Elite16 main draw
It was a simple itinerary. Nothing more than, oh, to use Theo Brunner’s wild ride as an example, Xiamen to Hong Kong to Los Angeles to Chicago to Sao Paulo to Brasilia for this week’s Brasilia Elite16. Fifty hours in total. More if you include Trevor Crabb’s overnight in Singapore, which preceded stops in San Francisco, Houston, Sao Paolo and Brasilia.

Beach in USA needs Volleyball World, USAV, AVP to go big before L.A. 2028
Finn Taylor. Sean Scott. Bobby Corvino. Please remember these names, beach volleyball fans. They are the power brokers behind the scenes, men who will ultimately set the course of beach volleyball for the next four-plus years in the United States, with the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics looming large. If beach volleyball does not plan effectively for 2028 beginning NOW...

Diaz: “We’ll keep working to turn our dream of playing in front of the Olympic rings into reality”
Until two months ago, the idea of Noslen Diaz and Jorge Alayo competing at the Paris Olympics could be considered borderline delusional as the Cubans had just over 3,000 points in the FIVB provisional Olympic Rankings and not much time left to add to it. Besides that, they were a fairly inexperienced team competing against the very best of the sport...

Olympic Beach Volleyball Rankings: Grimalt cousins charging after Xiamen gold
There is no sense in attempting to make sense of the Grimalt Cousins, Marco and Esteban, of Chile. It’s best to stop trying. Sometimes it’s best to simply sit back and enjoy the most mercurial team on the Beach Pro Tour. This 2024 season has been a wonderful snapshot of the enigmatic conundrum that is the Grimalts: two first-round qualifier losses in Challenges...
