Personal: Sours, who was born in Lubbock, Texas, has three siblings, Colter, Jaxan and Sayler. In high school she lettered in volleyball, basketball and track and field. She was a four-time 1A Volleyball Player of the Year and her team won four straight state championships. In basketball she was all-state three years and her team was the state runner-up two consecutive years. Sours first competed at the state track and field championship as an eighth grader, and earned a second place in high jump and twice in javelin while winning state titles in 800-meter relay and medley relay. She graduated in the top three in her class.  Following college she played two years professionally in Hungary as she obtained her masters degree. In March 2026 she married fellow pro beach volleyball player Ryan Ierna.
