College: Villapando played beach volleyball at Stanford, where she set the program's single season record with a 23-7 match record with Courtney Bowen and Kathryn Plummer. As a sophomore she went 15-13 with three different partners on court two, then was 7-6 as a junior on court one with Charlie Ekstrom. Villapando was 22-11 as a senior on court one, splitting time with Ekstrom and Xolani Hodel and was chosen as an AVCA First Team All-American. She finished her Stanford career as the school's all time leader in wins (67-38). Villapando played one season of beach volleyball at Southern Cal in 2022 as a grad student, going 21-7, mostly on court five with Mollie Ebertin. USC won the National Championship that season.
Personal: Villapando's father, Roland, is an avid volleyball photographer and her mother, Robin Curren, played basketball at Western Michigan. She has an older sister, Amanda, and a younger brother, Chase. Villapando was a 2017 Honorable Mention AVCA High School All-American.
