Beach Bits:
• In her career Jameson has only played seven events with a partner other than her sister Tracy. • Jameson has ranked as a top-32 player in each of her eight seasons on the AVP Tour.
2008: Enjoying their best season to date, the sisters reached their first AVP semifinal in Louisville after knocking off four teams seeded 10th or higher. They again placed third in Belmar, this time defeating two teams seeded fifth or higher. In the season finale in Manhattan Beach, the duo placed seventh, their best in this storied event, and also became just the second team to compete together in 80 domestic tournaments. For the second time in her career, Katie ended with a top 20 ranking in terms of season points. 2007: Jameson and Jones played their best in the two tournaments closest to their hometown, in Huntington Beach and Long Beach, finishing fifth in each. In Cincinnati to end the season, Katie played with Tara Kuk, her first tournament since 2002 that she did not play with Tracy. Katie was eighth in aces per game (.77). 2006: Again started the season well, with a seventh in Ft. Lauderdale, and in Santa Barbara placed fifth to tie their best. In both of those tournaments they had lost in the second round and fought through the contender's bracket. In July the duo went to Cypress for an FIVB Challenger event, and after emerging from the qualifier, lost in the first round but bounced back with four straight wins en route to claiming the bronze medal. Katie finished fourth on the tour in aces per game (.81). 2005: Jameson and Jones started the season with a new high, fifth place in Ft. Lauderdale. They later added a pair of sevenths and four ninths. Katie was ninth in digs per game (4.89) and 10th in aces per game (.56). 2004: After equaling their AVP best of ninth place twice, Jameson and Jones ended the season with two sevenths in the final three tournaments. In Hermosa Beach the duo placed seventh after becoming the lowest seeded team to defeat Annett Davis and Jenny Johnson Jordan in their AVP careers to that point (later surpassed in 2007 by Jameson and Jones). Katie was second on the tour in digs per game (5.68) and third in aces per game (.61). 2003: Jameson and Jones placed ninth three times and for the first time earned a top-20 ranking at the end of the season. 2002: Partnered with Tracy for four events, with a best of ninth. In the final two AVP events, she played with Heather Lowe, also with a best of ninth, in what marked the last time she played with a partner other than her sister until 2007. 2001: Played in four AVP events, including two with her sister, and had a best of ninth place. 2000: Jameson played in her first pro beach volleyball event in Seal Beach with her sister Tracy, finishing 17th, and played one other event on the BVA Tour.
Hot Winter Nights: Played one HWN event in 2009, in Uncasville.
College: Played at University of San Diego, where she was a three-time first-team all-conference player. In 1998 and 1999, was a first-team all-district setter. Jameson received both a bachelor's and a masters in Education from University of San Diego.
Personal: Formerly Katie Lindquist, Jameson is the middle child of three girls, and her father coached high school volleyball. She began playing club volleyball in sixth grade, and played on the high school team with her younger sister Tracy for one season. Following college, she played one season in Germany, and in 2000 she and Tracy were selected by USA Volleyball to play in the Tel Aviv Open, which they won. She is currently a kindergarten teacher, and was married in July 2009. She had a baby boy, Trevor, born in February 2011.
